Wilvet South Veterinary Endoscopy
Veterinary endoscopy is a non-invasive and highly effective tool for diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions involving the gastrointestinal tract. This procedure utilizes an endoscope (a thin, flexible tube equipped with a light and camera) to visualize and/or sample the stomach and proximal small intestines. Endoscopy allows minimally invasive removal of foreign bodies from the stomach and/or biopsy of abnormal-looking tissue, reducing the need for traditional surgeries. Endoscopic procedures do require general anesthesia. Risks and complications are rare but would be discussed with your veterinarian prior to the procedure.
